So yesterday I worked on a knitting project. It is the Lemon Juniper Shawl by Jaala Sparo. I used to think that I knitted for the process and not for the end result. However, as I knit more things that my hubby and daughter don't wear, it's harder to knit just for the process. Since I don't know anyone who will wear this shawl I'm not sure if I really want to finish it. It's kind of like taking the time to read a 1,000 page book which you hated from the beginning. Not that I hate this pattern. I actually started this shawl to work on my lace skills, which I've been doing. I guess that in itself is a success!

Creative Perfectionism
To create something, whether it be knitting, sewing, drawing, writing, etc., always makes my day a little less stressful and gives me a feeling of accomplishment. The problem is that I need to have everything in its place before I can begin. For those of you who know me, this is very difficult. I admit that I am not always an organized person. However, I've been trying to organize my sewing area and can't seem to sew until it's done. All the while dreaming of all the wonderful things I am going to make for my daughter.
Therefore, I have committed to do something creative everyday for the next 30 days and to post about it here. Now the creative thing may actually be making a storage solution for my sewing. We'll see how it goes.
